Written by Bernardo Solano

The Faustino family works toward their American Dream but struggle with their own shortcomings on the way. Meanwhile above, Mephistopheles strikes a bargain with The Lord. “Mephisto” claims he can win the souls of the Faustino family by leading them down the wrong path. If Mephisto succeeds the Lord must welcome Mephisto back into heaven. Mephisto offers the family each their heart’s desire.
The Faustinos discover that their heart’s desires are not working out as expected, and they are getting pulled further and further from their dreams and their East-Side community. Good and evil struggle for the soul of the Faustino family in this bilingual mix of comedy, music and intrigue. Los Faustinos addresses the question of how one family can achieve their American-dream, and continue to serve a community that ‘the dream’ seems to be leaving behind.
